Our Holiday Home

Layout of the gîte

You enter the gîte through the kitchen on the ground floor.
The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, coffee maker, kettle, microwave, and dishwasher.

From the kitchen, a staircase leads to the landing. A small staircase from the landing goes down to the double bedroom.
From this bedroom, there is access to the living room, which overlooks the castle garden.
In winter, it’s a cozy spot to relax by the stove.
This room can also be accessed via an external staircase.

From the landing, another small staircase leads to the attic floor.
Here, you will find two single beds, each located in a separate section of the attic.

On the landing, there is a bathroom with a walk-in shower, washbasin, and toilet.
In addition, there is a second separate toilet on the same floor.

Due to the characteristic layout of the house, stairs are unavoidable. Unfortunately, the gîte is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility.
The gîte can accommodate up to 4 adults.

Sustainable Holiday Home in Burgundy – Eco-Friendly and Nature-Focused

Milieu & Duurzaamheid

Environment & Sustainability

At our gîte, peace, nature, and simplicity are central — and this goes hand in hand with caring for the environment. We do our best to make your stay as pleasant as possible, while minimizing our impact on the surroundings.

♻️ Waste Separation & Composting
We carefully separate waste and make our own compost from vegetable and garden scraps. This reduces the amount of residual waste and naturally nourishes our garden.

🌱 Permaculture & Pesticide-Free Gardening
Our large garden is maintained according to permaculture principles. This means: no pesticides, space for biodiversity, and respect for nature. Birds, butterflies, and bees are always welcome guests here.

🧼 Eco-Friendly Products
We use ecological cleaning products whenever possible and environmentally friendly laundry sheets from Mother’s Earth.

💧 Safe Tap Water
The tap water is of good quality and safe to drink.
This means you don’t need to buy plastic bottles, helping us reduce plastic waste together.

🌿 No Excess, Just Comfort
Many of our furniture pieces and accessories are chosen deliberately: durable, timeless, and in harmony with the atmosphere of the house. Not everything is new, but everything is carefully selected.

We don’t yet have LED lighting or the latest energy-efficient appliances everywhere, but we make conscious choices and continue to improve step by step wherever possible.

For us, sustainability mainly means taking good care of what already exists, and allowing our guests to enjoy a place where nature still has space.
